there is a longing in all of us- for someone we can look to in our times of need, someone we could share our burden and joy with,someone we could always count on to be there for us when the need arises.someone we could laugh and cry with,someone who could provide encouragement,affirmation,consolation, someone we could be comfortable around, without the need to pretend just to gain approval and acknowledgement. in the company of that person, we want to be just the way we are.cus its tiring trying to put up a front-we all know that there will come a time where all of it becomes pointless and that’s when the reality of how empty we still are hits us.

there is a longing in all of us- for a friend.

ive tried searching for someone like that, as stupid as it sounds- i know you have as well. and yeah, just like you ive come across people like that at some point in my life- they just didn’t last. they waver and fizzle out for one reason or another. ive tried to be a friend- and failed. ive tried to be a brother-nope,didn’t pass that one either.and at the end of it all- i realise that it was not because i didn’t know how best to be a friend, it was because i was not reconcilled with god,and thus JESUS was unable to define the word ‘friend’ to me! if you’re on a search for a friend with everything that’s stated above, and of course, anything else you’d like to add- look to jesus today. the greater value you place on man, the greater your vulnerability to hurt cus they are gonna fail you, they are gonna disappoint you and yeah-its gonna shake you up real bad.when you put greater value in god, you realise that yeah,people are gonna fail you at some point in your life,but god never fails! it all starts with god, when you love him enough, that love is able to embrace all failure,disappointment,rejection.allow him to deposit that love in you today!

this coke advert says it best-

when this man slot his coin in for a bottle of coke, he didn’t know the amount of effort that was required to dispense it,and so he never really placed great value in that bottle of coke. he prob finished it up and threw it away in some thrash can-the story ends right there. its a different thing altogether when you slot your coin into JESUS ! should you choose to allow him to,he’s gonna show you all that he’s done for you and you’re deffinitely gonna understand the value behind the ‘product’ that this ‘vending machine’ is about to dispense! he’s gonna show you how he takes pride in you, he’s gonna show you how you bring a smile to his face- and he’s gonna show you why he went through a most painful death to redeem you from your sins-so that you are not a slave to anyone or anything, but you’re a son of god. anyone will agree that’s a far greater title to carry! all it takes is a coin, a coin of faith. and what you get is not just a bottle of coke that you drink and promptly send to the thrash can, you get JESUS and that’s gonna last you an eternity.
