even as I was spending some time this afternoon praying, god affirmed me once again that the life that I lead is not going to be an account of how faithful I have been with the things that he has given to me,instead it should be an account of how faithful I have been in growing that seed of faith that he has planted in my heart.
As I reflect on what my christian walk used to be like, I find that most of my time was spent in pursuit of things that I could never eventually take into eternity. these things were used to build the barrier that seperated me from receiving in full the promises that god had planned for my life,and I turned away from the kingdom gradually. but god tells us clearly in his word that the kingdom of god and the people to which it belongs to are OUR responsibility!
And when we finally come face to face with the author of life, what will we say about what we have been given? (:
god also reminded me that the times where ive cried,the times ive struggled,the times ive felt hurt and pained, were not once unnoticed. My cries were not futile.he says in the bible that as much we as children of god feel the hurt,and pain as we walk through this life here on earth, how much more does it hurt our father who has poured so much of his heart into our lives? and this gave me a revelation to what it will be like when I eventually become a spiritual father. As we invest our efforts into the lives of our spiritual children,when they are hurt, we too feel the pain! and not once despite all that we’ve done, has god loved us less. now isnt that just awesome! haha. :D
I once said to one of my bros,’ my walk with god this far has been a refining process more than anything to prepare me for greater things to come’ and today this statement still stands! god is still dealing with many aspects of my life, and im learning to rely on his word to carry me through every circumstance! lionel once shared, ‘ the word of god is not alive untill it goes through us. untill we live it, it is nothing but ink and paper.’ how true! the spirit doesn’t just work in us, it works THROUGH us as well! so I encourage everyone of you to take reading god’s word beyond just QT; or a morning and night affair. Maintain an active prayer life every minute of each day and constantly rehearse his word in your mind! the devil knows better than to strike only when you are doing QT(duh!),which explains the need for us to converse with god beyond just a one time affair! :D

My prayer for all of you is that as you walk this life with god,his word will flow through you like streams of living water as a testimony of what god can do for others around you as well!
